ICOM Code of Ethics for Museums
The cornerstone of ICOM is its ICOM Code of Ethics for Museums. It sets minimum standards of professional practice and performance for museums and their staff. In joining the organisation, ICOM members undertake to abide by this Code.

AVICOM, established in June 1991, is the International Committee for Audiovisual and New Image and Sound Technologies. It is one of ICOM’s (International Council of Museums) international committees.

The president's message
The AVICOM meeting will be held in Montreal in the fall of 2012. The chosen theme is The development of technologies and the emergence of new museology professions.
I am pleased to announce the call for papers for AVICOM Montreal 2012. I invite you to submit your research so that we can prepare an exciting meeting for everyone involved. It is on this occasion that the FIAMP festival will take place: October 9 - 12, 2012. Please be advised that the deadline for submitting your papers is March 9, 2012.
