Tools

  • MINT Tool set for mapping and aggregating data

A tool set for mapping and aggregating data is being developed by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).

The tool for mapping from any XML format to LIDO is freely accessible at http://oreo.image.ntua.gr:8080/cidoc/Login_input.action

For a tour of the tool see the presentation here (PDF 8MB).

For further information about the tool set see here.

  • OAICatMuseum OAI-PMH repository software

The OAICatMuseum software, developed by OCLC Research, allows museums to disclose descriptions of collection items as well as pointers to digital surrogates using the LIDO XML Schema. It can be used to efficiently share digital images with trusted partners who have requested access to museum content, or with the networked world at large.

See background information here.

The software is freely accessible here.
