Welcome to the Costume Committee Web site. It is the hope of the Officers and Board that this site will provide visitors with helpful resources and enhance communication among museum professionals with shared interests. I look forward to the Costume Committee meetings each year. What make them so special are presentations that explore the objects in our care and the exhibitions we mount to interpret and display them. As museum professionals, as historians and collectors of costume, we know the unique qualities of each of our objects and how much each can tell us about their moment of creation. Just as the objects in our care are unique, their study gives us unique perspectives as scholars. In turn these different perspectives make our meetings stimulating and informative. I encourage you to join us and bring the extraordinary qualities of your objects and exhibitions to our attention. With all good wishes, Jean L. Druesedow, Chair International Committee for Museums and Collections of Costume
