Otter Tail County Museum

Educational programme.

School children in grades 3-6 will take part in a variety of activities related to the exhibit, "Money Isn't Everything." They will learn how to play the dreidle game, trade for items at a fur trading post, will take on the role of local residents from the Great Depression, learn about counterfeiting and do their own replica bank note from local banks.

H. Lee White Marine Museum

In celebration of International Museum Day and New York State Heritage Weekend, a celebration of New York’s history and culture, the Marine Museum will kick off the 2011 summer season the weekend of May 14 and 15, from 1-5 pm. As part of the celebration, the Museum, which includes a main exhibit building, National Historic Landmark WWII Tug, "LT-5" and other vessels, will be open to the public free both days.  One temporary exhibit in the Museum's new Art Gallery will be "Lighthouses" by local artist Nick D'Innocenzo, which will be unveiled with a ribbon cutting by the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce on Saturday at 1pm. The Museum is open daily 1-5 pm year around and July and August 10-5 pm.

Cantor Arts Center

The Cantor Arts Center presents a wide selection of art in 24 galleries, plus outdoor gardens, courtyards, and terraces — all admission free.  The Center's collection spans 4000 years and ranges from ancient China to the 21st century, including the largest collection of Rodin bronzes in the world outside Paris.
Current exhibitions include:
1. A Rediscovered Masterpiece: 12 Drawings from Tiepolo’s New Testament - Illustrations drawn by the prolific Venetian master Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo
2. True Colors: Rediscovering Pigments on Greco-Roman Marble Sculpture - A Center team discovered minute traces of pigments using handheld X-ray fluorescence technology that originally covered an ancient marble sculpture. Creating replicas using 3D rapid prototypic technology, the team recreated and painted examples of the brightly colored sculpture of ancient times.  
3. Illustrated Title Pages:1500-1900 - 80 illustrated title pages, tracing the development of the title page from the 16th to 19th centuries.

Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County

The HCSCC collects, preserves, and presents the history and culture of Clay County and the region.  The museum’s Hjemkomst Viking Ship and full-scale replica of Norway’s Hopperstad Stave Church make the museum one of America’s premier destinations for Scandinavian heritage.  The HCSCC also hosts traveling exhibits in 7,000 sq. feet of temporary exhibition space.
